  you dont pair a long tunic with a slightly tapered pencil skirt, you just don’t… how bout skinny jeans or khakis?

  it depends on the length of the tunic if it is slightly below your hips then it’s ok. it would also look nice with peeptoe heel or wedged heel.

  Usually those two silhouettes aren’t paired together, but these days there are so many different styles of tunics you may be able to pull it off. I wouldn’t pair the traditional tunic with a pencil skirt at all. The tunic is too flared out and flowy at the bottom to be paired with a clean line like the pencil skirt. Also, some tunics are lengthy, it’ll look like you’re wearing a dress over a skirt. Pretty sloppy and tacky.

  The only way I can see it looking cute with a pencil skirt is being cinched with a cute belt, like:

  A much more sophisticated and clean look. Also, with a short waisted top, it’ll give you more length at the bottom, making you appear leaner and longer.
