usually if something is shorter than knee length it isn't wise to wear it to the office.
you may be able to wear them as long tunic tops over a pair of pants. but not just tights.References :
I basically think your BF is right…but if you still want to wear that to work, try some tight pants, not cropped. And mark your waist (or higher) with wide belt.
tights n heels to those typa thingie is,,,,i guess "too sexy" for work….References :
